These higher frequency Wi-Fi connections have a short effective range and can quickly drain the battery, requiring frequent charging, battery replacement or plugging in. Wi-Fi HaLow is designed to reduce power consumption, increase wireless range and data rates without limiting performance, and support more devices in the network.
